For most of our clients, we can fix their Balcony leaks without having to remove any tiles. A standard SCR service can generally leave your refreshed outdoor area ready to use the very next day! (depending on the size of the balcony)

1. Grout
SCR will assess the existing grout for deterioration, cracks and efflorescence. SCR grinds out and replaces the grout where required using 4 kinds of waterproof additives unique to SCR.
2. Tiles
Any cracked tiles can be repaired using our products or the tiles replaced as required. Your SCR technician will advise you on the best option for tiling at the time of assessment. If required, SCR can offer a full re-tile option.
3. Seals
All existing seals around the perimeter and at the junction joints will be removed to ensure a clean product bond to the tile with the new seals. SCR technicians will apply new industrial waterproof polyurethane seals to the perimeter and the main junction joints of the balcony. An epoxy seal can also be applied if recommended by SCR.
4 Screed
SCR technicians can apply a new screed base to an incorrectly falling or pooling balcony. They will first apply 2 x coats of membrane before screeding to create a fall to the drainage outlet. A further 2 x coats of membrane will be applied over this before re-tiling.
5. Waterproofing Membrane
Where SCR is required to re-tile a balcony we will apply two coats of high-quality waterproof membrane to the base before re-tiling. We will also apply waterproof fibre-cloth strips to the main junction joints and 100mm up the wall behind the riser tiles.
6. Sealer
A clear waterproof penetrative sealant is applied to the entire tiled surface area of the balcony. Flooding the tiled area with this sealant ensures the grout and any pores or fractures in your tiles are strengthen and sealed
